When is the best time to cut hedges?
The ideal timing depends on the species and purpose of the hedge. Most formal hedges benefit from trimming between late spring and early autumn. We always schedule work outside the bird nesting season where possible, and our teams carry out pre-work checks to ensure compliance with wildlife legislation.
Do you consider nesting birds when planning hedge work?
Yes. We follow all relevant wildlife legislation, including the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981.
